Once introduced at the Senior Bowl as "the man with the most diverse résumé in football", Kevin Jones has worked at every level of football, from High School to the NFL, and has worked in virtually every facet of the game: from Coaching to Analytics to Contract Negotiation.  A 27-year coaching veteran, Coach Jones is currently the Defensive Coordinator at Western Connecticut State University.

In addition to coaching, Jones continues to offer his insight and research assistance at the NFL level, and is viewed as an expert in Game Clock Management.  ​He has an extensive background in the business side of football.  He previously held the title of Director of Football Executive Search for Eclaro Sports (NYC), and was an NFLPA-Certified Contract Advisor and Director of the Coaching Division at JL Sports (CT). 

 

His projects involving coaching searches, job placement and contract negotiation have been featured in the pages of ESPN The Magazine, as well as on National Public Radio.

His coaching career has seen stops in the Big Ten, Big East and the NFL.  He began coaching in 1992 at William Hall HS (West Hartford) and has spent time with several other Connecticut high schools.  He also spent six years on the Governor’s Cup All-Star staff, serving as the Head Coach in 2006.

​

In his eight years as a high school Head Coach, Kevin saw nine of his players earn First team All-State recognition, and 45 go on to play at the college level, earning more than $2 million in scholarships along the way.  Three of those players made it to the NFL, including two NFL draft selections.

​

He resides with his family in Connecticut.

Kevin graduated from Central Connecticut State University, and received his Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities).
